My Favorite Broadcast Journalist (Blog Entry №2 )
As I continue to embark on my journey as a communication student, I have gained knowledge and experiences to help me in the future.
Summary
Currently a Second Year Communication student at Saint Louis University in Baguio City who is passionate about creating graphic designs for printing or social media. Also, pursuing to learn more in the field of radio and television broadcasting.
Areas of Experience
Social Media Management, Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Cyberlink Powerdirector, Filipino Radio Broadcasting
Skills
Computer Skills — well versed in utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Creating graphic designs using Adobe Photoshop and other editing tools. Having knowledge in video editing through Cyberlink Powerdirector and Filmora.
Communication Skills — actively listening to others and knowing how to take constructive criticism. With a good interpersonal character and engaging in collaboration. Fine verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Management Skills — providing the necessary assistance for the team during collaboration in decision-making and project planning processes. Flexible in terms of schedules.
Experience
Social Media Management — had a background when a specific course has allowed an activity in producing materials for managing social platforms of a non-government organization.
Disaster Risk Reduction Management — experienced hands-on activity of Disaster Risk Reduction Management by crafting graphic materials and submitting them in our barangay.
Filipino Radio Broadcasting — participant in a team during the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) Radio Broadcasting in Flipino category held in the years 2017 and 2018 at Paringao, Bauang, La Union.
Even with my current skillsets and experiences, I always believe that those are still average and not yet enough. To go through Exposure training, whether in radio and television broadcasting, will surely be a great opportunity. The experience will contribute to my betterment as a communication student, therefore broadening my knowledge and skillsets in my career.
